OTOAI Participation at ITB India 2024 – Mumbai

Mumbai, September 13, 2024 — The Outbound Tour Operators Association of India (OTOAI) proudly participated in ITB India 2024, held from September 11 to September 13, 2024, at the Jio World Convention Centre in BKC, Mumbai. Located at Booth No. D29, OTOAI received an enthusiastic response from attendees, contributing to the event’s success as a premier platform for the travel and tourism industry in India.

Mr. Riaz Munshi, President of OTOAI, along with Mr. Shravan Bhalla, Vice President, and Ms. Monia Kapoor, Joint Secretary, Ms. Arshdeep Anand, Executive Committee, actively represented OTOAI at the event. ITB India 2024 served as an excellent opportunity for OTOAI members to engage with key stakeholders, fostering discussions around global tourism and potential collaborations.

A highlight of OTOAI’s participation at ITB India 2024 was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Iranian Tour Operators Association (ITOA). The MoU was signed by Mr. Mostafa Shafie Shakib, Chairman of ITOA, and Mr. Riaz Munshi, President of OTOAI, at the OTOAI Booth No. D29. This strategic collaboration marks a significant milestone in strengthening tourism ties between India and Iran. The signing ceremony was attended by prominent members of both associations, including Mr. Shravan Bhalla, Vice President of OTOAI, and Ms. Monia Kapoor, Joint Secretary of OTOAI.

Additionally, OTOAI had the pleasure of meeting Ms. Joyce Wang and Ms. Nurul Ain during ITB India. Their presence emphasized the importance of strengthening relationships with global partners. Ms. Joyce Wang, a key figure in fostering tourism between India and China, provided valuable insights into expanding tourism offerings. Her contributions are seen as crucial in developing mutual growth in travel and tourism between the two countries.

ITB India is one of the most prominent travel trade events in India, bringing together professionals from the travel industry, including tour operators, travel agencies, and tourism boards from across the globe. The event facilitates networking, knowledge sharing, and collaboration between Indian and international stakeholders.
