Vegan First is launching a first-of-its-kind festival in Delhi on 15th October 2023 which celebrates all things sustainable, homegrown, and plant-based. The first edition of Ekatva Festival is launching at the picturesque and historic Sunder Nursery in Delhi, Nizamuddin among the various heritage sites and botanical gardens of Sunder Nursery.
Climate Change awareness and environmental consciousness is rising among Delhi’s population, especially in the younger generation. One of the biggest contributors to climate change is animal agriculture, and hence it was essential to the festival organisers to make it a 100% vegan festival where no animal products are used or promoted.
Ekatva Festival is happening on the auspicious occasion of the first day of Navratra which marks the beginning of festive season in India. Keeping this in mind, the festival is lined with activities and events which offer a peek into sustainable living and 30+ conscious brands to get Diwali gifts from. From enlightening talks and plant-based food stalls to soulful live music and engaging workshops, Ekatva Festival offers an all-encompassing experience that reflects the spirit of conscious living.
The festival boasts a wide array of plant-based foods, snacks, and beverages, ranging from street food to gourmet delicacies. Guests will have the opportunity to indulge in an array of plant-based cheeses, Indian savoury dishes, whole foods plant-based dishes, healthy snacks and dips, street food, ice-creams, chocolates, baked goods, and desserts. Festival goers can take home these treats as gifts for their loved ones.
Ekatva Festival has a star-studded line up of experts from various fields – health, food, sustainability, nutrition, sports, social impact, entrepreneurship, and climate education who will share their pearls of wisdom with the attendees.
A 100% plant-based cooking challenge – judged by Miss Priya Vijan – Top 11 Masterchef India 2023 will be followed by a cooking workshop by Chef Mini Gupta from Satvic Movement. Then we have an inspiring session by Mrs. Sangeeta Bahl, the oldest Indian Woman to scale Mt. Everest followed by an expert session on plant-based nutrition for high-intensity athletes by Mr. Sandeep Kumar who is an animal rights activist and an Ultra Marathon Runner.
Mr. Robin Singh, co-founder of Peepal Farm, Mrs. Aparna Rajagopal, co-founder of Beejom Animal Sanctuary and Agricultural Farm, Miss Shreya Ghodawat, co-founder of Meat Less, Meet More, Mrs. Ritikaa Bhawsinghka, founder of Hubbba Hubbba Foods, and Vaibhav Garg, Sports Nutritionist for IPL and Super Boxing League are some of the esteemed speakers at Ekatva Festival.
