The Network of Indian MICE Agents (NIMA) celebrated a decade of excellence on 7th February 2025, marking its 10th anniversary with a grand event. In this milestone moment, NIMA also announced the reconstitution of its Executive Team, with key leadership appointments.
Dr. Nitin Mittal of Hotel N Apartment, Bengaluru, has been appointed as the National Coordinator, while Gajesh Girdhar of Paryatan, Muzaffarnagar, will serve as the Chairman of the Governing Council. The new NIMA 2.0 team, led by Dr. Mittal, enjoys the support of the association’s patron Dr. Subhash Goyal (STIC Group), mentor Mr. SanJeet of DDPL Publications, advisor Mr. Vikas Khanduri of Holiday Merchants, and Chairman Gajesh Girdhar.
The reformed executive team includes members from Tier 3 cities such as Ghaziabad, Yamuna Nagar, Sahibabad, and Akola, alongside representatives from Metros and Tier 2 cities, reinforcing NIMA’s commitment to inclusivity. This diverse representation truly embodies the core values and constitution of NIMA. The association’s motto, “Our Members, Our Pride”, resonates through its continued focus on fostering stronger partnerships between its members and an expanding network of preferred suppliers.
Dr. Nitin Mittal, the newly appointed National Coordinator, shared, “Technology will play a key role as an enabler, and at NIMA, we are committed to bringing futuristic tools that will empower our members to compete globally in the MICE industry.”
Despite its historically stringent membership induction process, NIMA remains resolute in its aim to bring in high-quality members to further strengthen its national presence. The new executive team is focused on expanding the association’s influence without compromising its strict standards.
In line with its vision for growth, NIMA is also committed to supporting initiatives that involve educational institutions in the Tourism sector. By forming strategic partnerships, NIMA will bring practical knowledge, case studies, and hands-on experiences to students, enabling them to engage with real-world challenges in the travel industry, particularly in the MICE sector.
The event itself was a remarkable blend of glittering celebrations and networking opportunities. The highlight of the evening was a stunning performance by the Border Security Force band, making its debut appearance at a travel association event. Additionally, the NIMA@10 selfie booth became an instant hit, capturing the joyous essence of the occasion. The event was attended by members from all corners of the country, alongside distinguished guests from the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, the Singapore Tourism Board, the Ras Al-Khaimah Tourism Board, Egypt Air, and National and International media professionals.
As NIMA continues its journey of growth and innovation, the association remains committed to uplifting the Indian MICE industry, building partnerships, and empowering its members to succeed in an increasingly competitive global market.
